I think I'm going to have to start back tracking my food intake on CK as I totally blew it last night with my food intake.
Yesterday I had a shocker with food. I was so freaking tight I barely drank my coffee in the morning, struggled through a few rice crackers, lunch was a half eaten soup half of which ended up in the toilet. Mid afternoon I had a packet of mamee noodles which totally didn't sit right with me and ended up in the sink, so by dinner time I felt totally drained and in NEED of food. My husband asked that I cook nachos for dinner. I make up the mince but add extra veges like capsicum, mushrooms, onions and tomato to make it semi-healthy. My husband just has the corn chips, mince and cheese. I put myself a cup of the mince, around 25g of the chips and added a dolop of sour cream and some guacamole which I had made up. Perfect size for me, ate it in 30-40 mins. And then I had a choc wedge ice-cream at 163 calories, then a Jarrah hot chocolate with 4 marshmallows (and a couple extra marshmallows as I was making it). So ended up eating a little more than I should have last night!!
Today I'm struggling through a bowl of quick oats, but at least I'm not hungry and it's nice and soft for me to get down!! I have cruskits with the left over guacamole, tomato, roast chicken slices and cottage cheese for lunch. Not sure how that will go... we'll see. Also plan to have a small latte in the afternoon and a mandarin if I can manage it. Dinner is going to be 1 rissole or a small piece of baked fish with a light batter on it, some steamed cauliflower and brocolli and 1 baby potato baked into wedges.
I am definitely going to start tracking my food intake into Calorie King. I found that I was alot more accountable with my food intake and calorie intake if I knew just how much I was eating. I'm also going to start measuring my food again just so I keep the portions in check.
Didn't make it to my spin class either this morning. My legs are so freaking sore from the pump class yesterday I looked like an old lady getting out of bed this morning (you all know what that's like right?!?!). Don't worry, I'm still going to the Abs Butts and Thighs Class at lunch time today. Its a good class and will help me to get my legs moving and hopefully get some blood circulating to get those nasty lactic acid toxins out of my thighs!!! Definitely loving the exercise though and will look forward to when I'm not hurting so much!! I'll also go to the gym after work today for a 30 min walk.
Still not drinking enough water either. We normally buy low joule cordial but my husband accidentally picked up the full sugar cordial which I have been drinking. God it tastes good, but at 100cal a glass I can't really afford to be drinking it. Thank goodness it's nearly all gone!!
OK, enough from me.

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!
Where the hell did two weeks just go!?!?! I'm writing this from my desk at work, and I'm practically suicidal from having to troll through so many freaking e-mails... back to reality I guess. *sigh*
Well, I had a wonderful time on my honeymoon. I was very very active - 3 days of Skiing and tramping and then loads of swimming, snorkelling and scuba diving the next week! The highlight was definitely the scuba diving. I always thought that I was "too fat" to do scuba diving, but the wet suit and scuba tank went on and did up with no problems at all! I even had to wear a weight belt cos they needed more weight... how ironic!! *lol*
Food wasn't the main focus of my holiday (obviously other things were my focus during our honeymoon *wink wink*). I did miss the fact that I couldn't eat whatever took my fancy. My meals were really limited to soups, soft foods like risottos and stews while skiing (which was fine with me cos they were lovely and warming!) and then when we were in Fiji I was limited to cereal for breakfast, 1 scone (couldn't eat the second one), a couple of hot chips, loads of cocktails and soft drink. Which didn't worry me too much because it was really too hot to eat. We did work out that I could share my husbands meals, so for breakfast I would have his baked beans, mushrooms and the yolk of one of his eggs (he doesn't like baked beans), which would keep me going until well after lunch. I'd then pinch a few of his hot chips when we were sitting by the pool having lunch (which sometimes stayed down, sometimes came back up) and then for dinner it was a bit of a hit and miss. The fish, disappointingly, was very very meaty and tough. Not like the delicate atlantic salmon that I can normally eat. So while I can normally eat fish, I didn't do too well with the tropical fish selections they had. I would either eat some of my husband's meal, order a kids meal (cheaper!!) or have an entree and a dessert instead. One thing we did do, which was very norti was we bought packets of chips which went down really easy, which we wouldn't munch at the pool, when we were having our afternoon cocktails or while sitting in bed watching TV. Still, good news is that I didn't put on any weight... bad news is that I didn't lose any either. But lets just say I didn't give a flying fuck what I ate on my honeymoon... and it felt good! Magnum Ice Creams, Full cream hot chocolate drinks, chocolate mousse, creme caramels, creamy risottos, pringles, cocktails with cream in them, full sugar soft drinks, creme brulee... the list goes on. But if I hadn't had the band, I'd be 5kg heavier right now... thank god for my band!
Currently sitting on 87kg!
So now that i'm back, it's time to get back into the exercise routine at bit. Was at pump this morning, legs trembling... but well worth it. tomorrow will be a spin class in the morning and Abs Butts and Thighs at Lunchtime, Wednesday will be ABT again and Thursday night will be Body Jam. Friday will be a rest day and Saturday will be Spin/Pump combo.
Off to Thailand in 3 weeks!!! YAY! So can't wait. I would LOVE to be at 85kg by Thailand. Not sure if that is going to happen, but I'm sure as hell going to try! I've also decided not to get on the scales as often as I am... once a week is good enough.. not every day..
My goals for this week:
1. 7 gym classes this week
2. 2 L water every day - struggling at the moment cos I'm so freaking tight!
3. Protein/veg at each dinner meal
4. Soups for Lunch every day (limited calories)
5. No scale action until Sunday 3rd August
6 More blogging action!
Ok, that's it from me. Will catch up with everyones blogs as soon as I have some free time!

2 sleeps to go!!
Soooooo excited about my up-coming Honeymoon! I'm off to New Zealand for a week and then flying over to Fiji. So it's a week of Skiing and a week of Sun and sand.. the best of both worlds really! Don't be jealous!
I picked up some snow clothes the other day. Size 16 fit me with jeans and a jumper on underneath! I look like a marshmallow, but I totally felt skinny. Got me thinking that if I hadn't lost the weight I don't know where I'd be getting my snow clothes from. My husband thinks I look so cute in my snow outfit! hehe
Food at the moment is really a hit and miss for me. I really struggle in the morning with breakfast to the point where I PB'd tea this morning! I really only eat one meal a day, usually dinner, which is quite small. During the day I just pick, or have crackers with cheese or cup-a-soups... I'm eating alot of carbs at the moment... and I know I should be having more protein but I'm finding it difficult to eat, I can't stomach canned tuna at the moment, and I have to have eggs with some sort of mayo otherwise it's too dry. I can eat turkey breast or chicken breast that is shaved and I'm managing some cold meats too, but not the salami type.
I had my last fill way back in Feb (I think)... you would think there would be SOME drop in restriction since then... but no.. nothing. I'm still just as tight as I was back then. Which is great, cos it's saving me $$$ getting those fills!
Exercise is still going well. I'm not going as often as I should, 4 times a week at the moment. But when I do go, it's hardcore and I burn between 400-500 calories at a time.
Anyhoo, best be off... this work isn't going to finish itself! Hopefully I'll get a chance to blog while I'm away... but don't hold your breath!
Before I forget - GOOD LUCK to Bridget who is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO close to getting under 100kg! If I'm not around for the momentous occasion, a BIG congratulations from me.. I will definitely be doing the happy dance for you!
And MJW - you are looking so amazing. Your before and after photos really do show such a massive difference :)
Much love,

Size 14... is this possible?
Ladies and Gents... I am.. right now, at this very moment, wearing... *drum roll please*. Size 14 pants! Ok, so they are tracksuit pants with a little bit of give.. but I am in a size 14! WooHoo!! It was my husband who said I should get the size 14 pants... when I immediately went for the size 16 on the rack. Lucky I did, because the Size 14 fit perfectly! Go me!!!
What else has been happening? I've been travelling a bit for work, so food has been a bit funny. I haven't been game to eat too much because I can't seem to get access to the foods that I can actually eat. Really hard to eat bread still, and while there is an abundance of sandwiches when I travel, I can only eat the insides. My work colleagues comment on how little I eat.. and I'm running out of excuses!!
I have finally got my wedding photos. LOVE LOVE LOVE them! We have to chose some now for our album... how do you chose from 1000 photos??? They are all so lovely... *sigh* some tough choices coming up!!
Food wise I'm coping OK. Some foods I just can't do, bread and pasta being the two biggies. But Rice and Potato I'm doing better with. Still not good with dryer meats (steak and chicken, pork and lamb) but able to get down mince, chicken in sauce and fish of course, which is fine because I'm not a big meat eater..
Honeymoon in 2 weeks... YAY!
Hope you are all enjoying your weekends! Sorry I haven't been posting on your blogs recently... fucking hell I've been busy at work, travel, socially... I need a break!
Much Love

Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes!
I got a long overdue hair cut last night and boy has it made a difference to my whole look. I grew my hair for 2 years for my wedding and I don't really like it too long as it has no shape. I got it cut last night and I love love love my new do! I feel like I've moved into the next phase of my weight loss and this signifies it... YAY!
What else.... I haven't weighed myself this week. I just couldn't be bothered with the scales at the moment. I'll weigh in tomorrow morning and report back...
Have been coping alot better with a wider variety of foods, including some fruits and vegetables. I'm able to eat mandarins now which I love, they're in season at the moment. I've been adding more veges to things and not having food so sloppy.
YUM!

Post Wedding Weight Gain
Totally went OTT with food after the wedding - Yum Cha, Ribs, Ice Cream - call it Marital Bliss?? Not sure - but I've put on just over a kilo!!! Couple that with no exercise and that's what you get eh?
Stepped up the pace a bit this week and bought some lovely fresh veges from the fruit market. I'm determined to get back on healthy eating and keep going with the exercise. Monday I did a Pump Class, Yesterday it was Abs Butts and Thighs, today I'm going to do ABT again, Tomorrow I'll do Cardio at lunch and Friday will be RPM at lunch, Saturday will be Spin and Pump. *phew*
I made a lovely spinach and leek puree which I've had with a mini quiche on Monday night and a mini Lasagne last night. It's fabulous how you can get "snack size" versions of main meals - perfect for little tummies like mine! I managed to get through the lasagne within 30 mins - it was the size of one and a half deck of cards - perfect! Today I've got a bowl of Chicken and Corn soup and a mini mandarin - they are in season at the moment and soooooooo cute!
I also wanted to comment on what Brent said in my previous post: "My point is, now, don't get so hung up on how much further you still have to improve your body. Start USING it, and the improvements will just happen."
Soooooooooooo true! While I will always focus on the scales - I'm going to put more effort into using my body. I've entered in the City to Surf in August and the 9km Bridge Run in September. I've spoken to a PT who is going to get me on a running program so I can train myself. I'm looking forward to the challenges I have set for myself :)
Thanks for reading! Come back soon!

A bit of a scare..
There was a trip to the A&E on Saturday after my girlfriend who has a band had pain while swallowing coffee after our spin class. She had been out drinking on the thursday before, resulting in a bit of a hang over on Friday. Unfortunately, food didn't agree with her at all on the Friday and she ended up vomiting... not just the little PB that we do to get rid of food, but one of those wretches that makes your stomach move... then she felt pain from her front through to her back and couldn't eat for the rest of the day. She was OK during our cycle class, was able to sip her water, but didn't finish the whole bottle like we normally do... then while we were having coffee she complained about increasing pain. We both thought it would be a good idea to go to A&E and have the staff call our surgeon (we got banded by the same doctor). When we arrived the nurse explained that she would be charged over $300 to see a doctor!! I guess she didn't really have much of a choice... so she filled in the forms and we waited for the nurse. While we were waiting a lady and her husband walked in to emergency. She was clearly anxious and distressed - and was bleeding heavily - so heavily that it was running down her leg and on to the floor of the ER. She was made to sit and complete forms while she bled all over the seat!!! Appalling!!! We managed to catch some of the conversation she had with the ER nurse (yes, we were evesdropping), and it turned out she had suffered a miscarriage... very sad.
Anyhoo, back to the story. My friend and I were finally called to see the nurse, during this time my friend's pain had subsided somewhat, but she was too scared to drink or eat anything. The nurse told us that she had rang our surgeon who would be there in an hour. So we sat in a room and caught up (this friend was at my wedding, so we had heaps to catch up on!!!). The hour flew by, and before I knew it our wonderful surgeon was here. We were both really worried that her band may have slipped - but it turned out that the stomach was just bruised and swollen - thank goodness! He just took 0.25mL out and she felt instantly better!
When we were leaving the A&E my friend went to go and pay the "fee". Our wonderful surgeon stopped us and asked us what we were doing. We explained that we were paying the "fees and charges" for the A&E visit. Apparently our wonderful surgeon has a thing with the hospital that his patients can visit the A&E for free (as long as our wonderful surgeon is the doctor who sees us)... so no fee's were paid... COOL!
Anyhoo, my friend is now fine and has booked in to get the fill put back. All is well.
Cheers,
LBG xx

What now??
As the wedding is over, I've decided that I need to set myself some new goals with my weight loss. While I was focusing on weight loss for my wedding, I need to do this for the rest of my life, so I need to focus on the future and what I need to do to achieve my goal weight. So lets revisit what's going on here:
December 2005 I was 116kg.
2 February 2007 - Lapband Surgery date - weight was 108.6kg
Today (8th June 2008) - I weigh 86.4kg
Thats a total weight loss of 29.6kg.
My goal weight is 68kg - 70kg -this will mean that my BMI is around 24-25.
Some big dates coming up before the end of the year:
1. Honeymoon - 12 July 2008
2. Thailand - 15 August 2008
3. Gold Coast Girls Weekend away - October long weekend
4. Summer - 1 December 2008
5. Christmas 08 - 25 December 2008
6. New Years Eve 08 - 31st December 2008
I would love to be at my goal weight 2 years on from my surgery, but my aim is to get there by then end of the year...
Have a great Sunday!

One word... Magical
I had the most magical day yesterday, I can't believe it's all over!!! I weighed in at 86.4kg this morning, 400g off the weight I wanted to be for the wedding day... but I don't care. The dress looked fantastic, I felt amazing and beautiful and the day went perfectly. Not one single thing went wrong!!
Where do I start? 6am the alarm went off and I woke to the sound of mum putting the kettle on. So I got up and went into the kitchen and had some tea. The hairdresser was around at 7am, and there were 6 of us to do, so she definitely earnt her keep!! I had a protein shake for breakky, and nothing else until I sat down for dinner. My hair was finished just before the photographer arrived, and the make-up lady arrived at around 11 to ensure we all looked fabulous. The weather gods were on my side yesterday. We got some beautiful shots outside and inside and it didn't rain at all the whole day!!! The cars arrived, they looked amazing. on the way to the church everyone was trying to look into the cars to see who was in them. I felt like a princess waving to everyone, lots of beeping from cars and people slowing down to have a look!! Got to the church and started to get nervous (and a little hungry!!)... the ceremony was beautiful and moving, more than once I got teary, and my husband was very emotional as well. The reception was just gorgeous... photos outside (the sun was actually shining!!!) and then around the grounds before heading inside for cutting the cake and some food!! My husband looked amazing as well... so handsome. The speeches were a mixed bag of funny and emotional. My husbands speech was beautiful, but because he was having trouble speaking I ended up standing by him for the speech. The band was amazing, got everyone up on the dance floor, not before we did our wedding dance that we learnt beforehand. Before we knew it, it was the last dance.. the garter and bouquet were thrown and we were driving off into the night as husband and wife....
like I said... a Magical Fairytale wedding and I felt every bit the princess.. :)

Rain Rain Go AWAY!!
Stupid Sydney Weather predicts showers for my wedding... although the symbol hanging over sydney on all those weather programs shows a sun peeking out from the clouds that are raining... I'm not sure what's going to happen... all I know is.. I can't control the weather!
My last day as a single woman today! WooHoo! I've got a beauty appointment in a couple of hours, then I'm going over to Mum and Dad's place where I'll hang out there for the evening. Me and my girls are going to see sex and the city tonight..
I'm feeling quite calm and relaxed at the moment, although I can feel that I am super tight at the moment. Maybe I'm internalising my stress and it's manifesting itself in a tight band. People have commented on how calm I seem to be..
Weighed in at 87.7kg this morning. Fiance and I did share some ice cream in bed last night (a favourite past time of ours) and I reckon I ate probably half a litre!!!! I felt extremely ill afterwards and I knew the scales wouldn't be kind today. Oh well.... kinda over it at the moment.
Anyhoo... next time I post I'll be a married woman!!! WooHoo!
Cross your fingers for good weather and a not-so-tight band tommorow :)
